MasterCraft, a Premier Sponsor of USA Water Ski & Wake Sports, announced today that the 2020 MasterCraft Night Jam has been cancelled due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. With plans to hold the event at Bennett’s Ski School in Zachary, La., on June 6, MasterCraft said in a statement that “we are unfortunately unable to move forward with the event at the level athletes, spectators, judges and fans expect from MasterCraft — and we expect from ourselves.”
The statement continued:
“It breaks our hearts to make this decision, but we feel strongly that it is the right one for such a high-caliber event during this time. MasterCraft remains committed to the growth of tournament water skiing and is looking forward to putting on an event that reflects the quality and premium execution this sport deserves. We are currently exploring opportunities to move forward with a professional event for athletes and fans as soon as possible. We apologize for any inconvenience and hope that you and your families remain safe and healthy during this time. We look forward to getting out on the water with you soon.”
