Have you logged into your dashboard lately? If not, please do!  It is time to get ‘all the things’ up to date, so that we can compete and officiate. Help your tournament organizers by getting all the things up to date, so the EVP can approve the tournament sanctions! 

Speaking of sanctions, let's get those submitted, so that we have plenty of time to be sure everyone is up to snuff! At this point, only about ½ of our SCR events are listed on Usa Waterski.  Help your fellow skiers out by submitting sanctions, so they can plan out their busy summer. Please note, I cannot see your tournament in the sanction system until after all fees are paid to USA Waterski. 

In other news, a big change has come out of the Judges & Scorers Committee. There is now no minimum age requirement to become an assistant, regular, or Senior Judge or Scorer; however, to serve as a Chief or Appointed Official, one must be 18 years of age. Encourage those young people to get busy!

The order of events is ready as well for the 2025 National Championships. 2025 Nationals Order of Events. SCR Championships order of events is presently under construction. 

It is time to put together those bids.  We are now looking for a host for the 2026 JD tournament, SCR Regionals, and yes even the 2026 AWSA National Championship. It’s our region's turn to host the biggest tournament of the year! Send those bids to me at screvp@gmail.com

In national new it is time to decide about participating in the AWSA Senior Pan Am tournament this fall, October 1-5, 2025, Pickos Ski School, Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. Letters of intent are due June 15, 2025. Exciting national news - The First-ever Collegiate Alumni Nationals is being planned for August 28-30, 2026, at Bennett's Ski School, Zachary, Louisiana. Be on the lookout for more to come on that event. Finally, the 25th Junior U.S. Open Waterski Championships will be held June 27-29, 2025, in Harmony, North Carolina.

If you are considering running for evp or national director, please submit your intention to Kelly Kohler at koehler.kelly20@gmail asap in order to be included on the absentee ballots for voting.
